 IELTS Speaking Test: Part-2

You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes. You have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.

Describe a memorable sporting event that you watched on Tv. Your answer should include: 

  • When you watched the game.
  • What the event was.
  • Why the event was memorable.
  • How you felt at the event. 
  • And describe whether winning or losing was significant.

  • How can international sporting events help the country? 
  • Governments spend a lot of money on international sporting events like the Olympics and World Cup. Do you think such spending is justified?
  • A big amount of money is spent on testing the use of illegal drugs in sports. What do you think about that?
  • Nowadays big companies sponsor major sporting events and sports teams of different countries. What could be the negative and positive aspects of such sponsorship?
