Some individuals believe day by day peoples are being antisocial and disrespectful with others. This essay intends to analyze the causes of this phenomenon and will suggest some ways to ameliorate the situation.

First of all, in today’s world, everyone is competing with each other to lead a better lifestyle. As a result, people have become selfish, isolated and workaholic to satisfy their heart greed to become more wealthy than another. Secondly, changing the family structure is also a big cause of this phenomenon. The trend of the nuclear family affects the kid’s behaviour. Because no one is there to monitor the kid’s behaviour when both parents go to work, They just left their children in the hand of media like TV and the internet or some uneducated housemaid. Therefore, they didn’t have the proper education of social manners. Eventually, they become antisocial. Additionally, the values of a social culture are being lost day by day because of globalisation. People tend to follow the global culture rather than the traditional, which is also considered antisocial and disrespectful by the orthodox elderly.

There are many possible solutions to this problem. To begin with, people have to learn to strike a balance between work and family life. Governments should also fix the maximum hours for workers to work per week. People should revert back to the old joint family system, which would be beneficial for everyone. The children would learn the moral values and the elderly would be well looked after. Also, the media can play a vital role in highlighting the good points of traditional and western culture so that people can adopt good social values.

To sum up, anti-social and mutual lack of respect in today’s time can be dealt with by taking simple measures, and individuals and governments should collectively take these steps.

  1. In many countries traditional foods are replaced by international fast foods. This is having a negative effect on both families and societies. Do you agree or disagree?
It is affirmed by a fair amount of people that in numerous nations’ foreign cuisine have eaten up the conventional dishes which is deleterious for families as well as societies. I also support the aforementioned statement and would outline arguments in favour of my stance in the forthcoming paragraphs.
To embark on, families are hard-hit by the adaptation of alien dishes. The first and foremost argument to support this belief is that it weakens the bond and relationships among the family members. In other words, as oldsters are not fond of ingesting western food therefore they resist sharing the dining table with them which paves the way to less affection and love among the families. Moreover, members are even vulnerable to grave health ailments. To justify, with high fats and salts, these international cuisines are triggering the chronic diseases such as obesity, hypertension and diabetes.
In addition to this, these fast foods have detrimental impact on communities too. Firstly, owing to consumption of excessive international food, the local cuisine is dying out. This will result in vanishing of a country’s local culture, which is its identity. Secondly, it lessens the productivity of the workforce. To elaborate, more inclination towards the foreign food is hampering the healthy living of the masses and as a repercussion; people are unable to work effectively and efficiently.
To conclude, it is evident that intake of foreign dishes is leading to huge damage on families along with communities. Collaborative efforts of humans and government would ensure enough reliance on a country’s local cuisines.

  2. In many countries, the number of animals and plants is declining.
Why do you think this is happening?
How can this issue be solved?

In recent years, there has been a significant decline in the number of animals and plants. This essay will discuss global-warming and urbanization as two main causes. To alleviate the problem of decline, controlled human activities and preserved natural areas are considered as solutions to this issue.

The major reasons for decreasing animals and plants are global-warming and urbanization in the cities around the world. Because of increasing population and consequently vehicle – demands, air pollution has significantly broken all records. As a result, never have the temperature risen than ever before. For an instance, in Alaska, five percent of entire bear population has totally wiped out due to intolerable heat waves that never occurred in the past. In addition, urbanization has led to more constructions on the green lands which was previously occupied by various animal species. This resulted in migration of those animals to other areas. Therefore, these two main events has majorly affected our natural resources.

To reduce this declining number, there two steps can be taken in any country. Government can impose strict laws and policies to control human activities. To illustrate, they should encourage the usage of shared vehicles to public who use their own transport-system. It might help in reducing air pollution, and global-warming effects eventually. Moreover, they can sanctify some regions as national parks which can not be further utilized for building residential or corporate sites. Therefore, such steps might reduce deteriorating conditions of our animals and plants.

In conclusion, some countries are facing serious decline in animal and plant species due to global -warming effects and urbanization. However, it can be handled if strict rules are imposed, and green areas are preserved. Lastly, it is also an individual’s responsibility to save the loss of our animals and plants.

Freshwater has always been a limited resource in some parts of the world. Today, however, growing worldwide demand has made this a global problem.

What are the causes of the increased demand and what measures could governments and individuals take to respond to this problem?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In today’s era, shortage of water is one of the biggest problems, and the rapidly increasing demand for freshwater out fear the government to do something. the governments are under pressure to take initiative actions to handle this worldwide major problem. This essay will illustrate some factors contributing to this problem and will also elicit certain steps that can help the national authorities and individuals in controlling this growing demand for natural salt-free water.

It is easy to see what are the causes of this global problem as the population of the world is growing at a dramatic rate. In addition, many sectors such as industry, agriculture, and the household sector lead to over usage of water creating the scarcity situation. An example can be seen in the case of the iron and steel industry which contributes by 70% in water pollution by non-ferrous metal. Moreover, household activities such as taking bath twice or thrice a day, don’t close a tab properly, etc all contribute to over usage of water.

On the other hand, National authorities can control this surge by starting campaigns and programs to spread awareness about this problem to local people. In addition, the government should also set up infrastructure for the purification of water which will help to meet the growing requirement. A good example is UAE where desalination plants have been used for many years to provide fresh drinking water. Nevertheless, households too will contribute immensely by using only the required amounts of water.

In conclusion, it cannot be denied that the proportion of freshwater is limited for the world’s population but there are some steps to tackle this problem on a war footing.
